What is Notes Plus?
This great service is a combination of ScriptShark Coverage and Story Notes. Each submission will receive both standard coverage and extensive development notes. While our criticism holds you to the same high standards of review found in ScriptShark coverage, the notes are extensive, supportive, and filled with ideas on how to improve your screenplay. Blending the best of both worlds, writers can save up to $100 in a single submission.
How is it different than ScriptShark Story Notes?
With the basic Story Notes package, you are not eligible to be considered for the Executive Market - you would be required to register for standard Story Notes and then resubmit for Coverage. With Notes Plus, you are able to accomplish both at a discounted rate.
Is this the best option for my screenplay?
Notes Plus is best suited for partially-developed material. It allows you the freedom to ensure your script is eligible for the Executive Market while simultaneously receiving in-depth development notes. If you're turning in a first draft, you may want to stick with our regular Story Notes. Similarly, if you feel the script doesn’t require much more development, we recommend that you go straight to Coverage.
Do the Story Analysts write the coverage or story notes first?
In order to make sure your script is reviewed the same as all coverage submissions, our story analysts have been instructed to write their review on your script before digging deeper into the improvement of structure, character, and mechanics.
Will my Notes Plus submissions receive Consideration for the Executive Market?
Absolutely. Screenplays submitted to our Notes Plus service are just as eligible to receive positive consideration as those submitted to the Coverage Service. That means you will also be eligible to post your script in the Spec Market with the ScriptShark Approval symbol.
Does using the Notes Plus service guarantee that my script will receive a “Consider or “Recommend” Coverage Report?
As with the Story Notes service, you are not guaranteed positive coverage. Again, your execution of the material will determine the nature of the coverage you receive.
Will I receive a discount on future submissions?
