Is ScriptShark Coverage required to submit to the Spec Market?
No, the Spec Market is open to anyone that would like to present their intellectual property to the professional entertainment industry. While it may help to have positive Coverage, it is not necessary. People receiving analyses from another accepted service will be listed with an 'Alt. Service' approval symbol.
Will people outside of the professional entertainment community have access to my posting?
No, the Spec Market will only be available to professional subscribers of BaselineFT. For your protection, these Users will be required to submit their name, company, and contact information for verification.
Can I see what my project will look like in the Spec Market?
Unfortunately, because the Spec Market is limited to professional subscribers, we don't currently display individual postings. You can, however, look at the sample pages on this web site to get a general idea of what Spec Market postings look like. In the coming months, you will have the opportunity to see your listing as a professional will see it.
What if I want to make changes to my project?
Soon you will be able to access your personal account through ScriptShark.com, which will allow you to update personal information, as well as make updates to your project and writer profiles. For now, should any information change, just Email Us and we will make sure the posting reflects your changes.
What if a professional requests my material?
You will receive an email from us, which will provide instructions from the requesting company on how to submit your material to them.
Will BaselineFT customers see more than just my logline?
The Spec Market allows you to post your logline, your personal information, and any pertinent information about the project(s) you list. You will also have the option to post an analysis you may have received. For scripts receiving 'considers' or 'soft passes', this may prove very beneficial. Please note, however, they will only see that which you choose - so, if there is anything you don't want posted, please leave it blank in the form.
How do I send you this information?
After filling out the basic ordering information provided on this web site, you will receive an email with a detailed form to fill out. Once you Email Us the responses back, your project will be posted in the Spec Market for a six month period. This process will be automated in the coming months.
Can I post more than one piece of material in the Spec Market?
Unless you have received a discount or promotion, each Spec Market purchase is good for one project posting only; however, you are not limited in the number of postings you may purchase. The Spec Market is designed to allow industry professionals the ability to search, browse, and quickly glance through clients' material.
Will ScriptShark commission any deals that originate in the Spec Market?
No, ScriptShark does not commission deals that arise from the service.
